The dedication of the McIntosh Stone at McIntosh Reserve on November 14, 2017:
After more than 100 years, the McIntosh Stone has returned to the Reserve. A ceremony observing this return was held at its new location in front of the McIntosh cabin on November 14, 2017. Representatives were there from the University of West Georgia, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners, many staff members from the park system, as well as others who have long been interested in the history of McIntosh and of the Reserve. Dr. Gary McIntosh, a direct descendant of General William McIntosh, flew in from California to attend the event.
