March 16, 10 am at McIntosh Reserve Park. Meet at the McIntosh Cabin. Park Manager, Daryl Johnson, will highlight developments at the park and tell us about plans for the near future. Parking fees will be waived for program participants.
We have reserved the Kiwanis room at the Stallings Center for a Board Meeting from 5:30 - 7 on Tuesday, March 26.
McIntosh Reserve Park will hold an Easter Egg "Hunt" on Saturday, April 20. Festivities for the kids begin at 12, with the hunt at 2 pm. Park personnel recommend arriving by 1:30 to get parked and make it to the right spot for the egg harvesting. The parking fee for this event is $5.00.
On Saturday, May 18 at 9 am, Jesse Thompson (Land Agent and Registered Forester) will lead a hike on tree identification at McIntosh Reserve. Ask at the entrance kiosk about the meeting place. Saturday, July 20, 10 am at McIntosh Reserve Park, Boat ramp: FOMR Walk and Talk. Brent Hess, with DNR Fisheries, will provide a program on the fish in the Chattahoochee. Minimal walking required. Free and open to the public. Parking fees will be waived for program participants.
