Pollinator Census
This event was originally scheduled for Saturday, but had to be moved up one day due to another event scheduled for McIntosh Reserve Park.
This is a citizen science activity partnering with the UGA Extension Service. Before we begin the census, there will be some education explaining how to successfully perform the census and create awareness of who our pollinators are!
If you wish to participate, the census takes a total of 15 minutes. You will choose a flowering plant and count the number and types of pollinators (such as honey bees, bumble bees, wasps, …) that visit the flowers on the plant in a 15 minute time period.
