Informal Hike

August 3 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Join us this Saturday, August 3rd at 9 AM for our Informal Walk through the new 429 acres downstream from McIntosh. Starting from the entrance station, we will walk downhill along the new dirt road to the Chattahoochee. Then we will walk along the river and back to the entrance station via Beaver Pond and Pine Ridge Trails. Tim estimates the walk to be between 2-2.5 miles. Although we have walked parts of this route before we will walk in the opposite direction. In particular we will hunt for any trace of the old railroad northwest of Beaver Pond Trail. Let’s start at 9:00 while it’s not too hot.

Remember to bring your yearly pass for Carroll County parks. The county website notes that annual passes may be purchased at any county park for $50.00 and may be used at any county park. Senior rates are available to those 62 + with ID.
