On Dec. 2, Dr. Ben DeMayo let a small, but enthusiastic, group of hikers on a Walk and Talk, starting at the McIntosh Reserve Old Ranger Station, walking up the Eagle’s Pass Trail and looping around past the Spray & Splash area and following the trail that runs along a small creek back to the road west of the Ranger Station. Along the way Ben pointed out a number of Christmas ferns, a stand of (invasive) bamboo plants, many shortleafed pine trees, a young longleafed pine tree, beech trees, a resurrection fern, and many other trees exhibiting fall colors.
